ABOUT US

Troop 424 is a high-adventure troop that meets and camps year-round. The troop is open to boys ages 10 through 17.  We have been continuously active since 2005, and have an active leadership team.   Our sister Troop is 412G and is open to girls.  You can request more information about them here.

In addition to our regular Troop meeting, we do outings about once a month.   Some recent examples include:  white water rafting at the Whitewater Center in Charlotte, canoeing and overnight camping at Kerr Lake, skiing in West Virginia, and climbing at Pilot Mountain. The troop also participates in regional events such as the Occoneechee Council Camp-O-Ree,  summer camps at Raven Knob, and "high adventure" trips to the famous Philmont Scout Ranch
